About the Artist

Kidd Murray is a visual artist from Glasgow who graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 2017 with an Honours degree in Painting and Printmaking.

Their practice explores the human experience, with each painting acting as a window into journeys of self-discovery and growth. Through the transformative symbolism of butterflies and caterpillars, Murray challenges traditional notions of beauty and questions the male gaze.

Hair features heavily throughout Murray's recent painting series, drawing on the traditions of the Old Masters while exploring its deeper relationship to identity and femininity. In these works, hair becomes a reminder of the inevitable relationship between growth and letting go.

Murray's anthropomorphic representations explore the delicate balance between vulnerability and strength, as well as the interplay between masculine and feminine energies.

Each print is carefully produced to order using archival-quality materials. Please allow approximately 10 days for production and delivery.
