PELIKAN BABA
Pelikan Baba is a visual artist focusing on fields of tattoo, graffiti and animation, treating illustration as a bridge connecting these disciplines.
Her style is heavily influenced by graphic novels, folklore, 90s animation, superflat aesthetics and is rooted in her Eastern European heritage and respect towards Japanese culture. She frequently explores themes of interconnection between fantasy and reality, and ephemerality.
Pelikan Baba divides her transient art practice mainly between her hometown Wrocław (Poland) and Edinburgh, where she learned tattooing and studied Motion Graphics at Napier University.
